I have taken my new found love of cocktails to a whole new level. Yes, in true Nerdgirl style I have had to set up an entire bar to go along with this “hobby”. All of this is being assembled and I can put up some pictures of the final product when the items arrive, but attached are my purchases to bring this Mad Men style bar together. I would love to hear thoughts!
Above is the Umanoff bar cart that is being delivered tomorrow straight off of Craigslist. It is such a gem! I went to check it out this morning. It is in great condition and truly a rare find. I did my research and have found carts like this going for upwards of $2,800 online. I love the mixed media and the colors. Definitely a conversation piece and something that I am in love with already.
To go on the shelves, I plan on stocking a basic bar with whiskey, vodka, bourbon and all the tools that I will need. Some of my barware that I have purchased on eBay thusfar:
A set of 4 champagne cloches. Can be used for champagne or daiquiris
Yellow lucite ice bucket
Georges Briard martini pitcher and stirrer
Yes. It is all a bit mismatched, but that is the way I like to throw things together. A bit eclectic, but hopefully fun.
