I did it! I made it to Machu Picchu and back. I can’t even begin to explain what a beautiful country Peru is. It was mindblowing, heart-achingly beautiful. And Machu Picchu was absolutely stunning.
This trip meant so much to me. I booked it on a whim in December and really didn’t have a huge itinerary. Machu Picchu was the crowning glory of the adventure. It was such a huge milestone for me to be able to take that kind of journey given the fact that a year and a half ago I couldn’t even walk on my own. What a great feeling to accomplish something that people only dream of.
And I ate cuy and alpaca. More on that later.
