I started a new television show last night. Heroes. Which I think here in the UK might play on the Sci Fi channel or something equally as lame and really didn’t get any attention at all. I had heard from a few people that the show was great, but at first it didn’t really seem to appeal to me. I kept thinking it was either super sci-fi geeky or perhaps CSI like (which makes me want to stick forks in my eyes). Turns out that it is neither. Heroes, in fact, simply rocks as far as I can tell from the first 5 episodes that I gobbled up last night.

It is the story of ordinary people that discover they have extraordinary abilities and now have to try to save the world (or something). These abilities include:
Of all these abilities and characters, I have to say my favourite is the Japanese character nerdo Hiro who can manipulate the space-time continuum. That is some cool shit.
I think the reason that I like the show so much is that it is done in a comic book style fashion. Short stories all lending to the larger path of destruction story along with your usual villians.
Anyhoo – if you get a chance to watch it, I highly suggest it. I haven’t been this excited about a TV show since Lost (which I now have about zero interest in).
