Yesterday while having a nice little brunch at Foreign Cinema with my former Sega colleagues we started talking about The Tamale Lady of San Francisco. She is an underground legend that peddles tamales out of plastic coolers in the Mission and Castro districts of SF. You can always count on her to show up at your favourite dive bar near closing time to sell you some fantastic tamales topped with hot sauce. Everyone knows her – not usually by name – but just by The Tamale Lady.
We ended up going to Zeitgeist after brunch and low and behold The Tamale Lady showed up. My trip to San Francisco was complete.
