post Category: tastes post postAugust 6, 2008

Last week I purchased the Michelin guide for London and started reading through what was updated for this year.  Up until this point I have relied mainly on the web and word of mouth to guide me through the “stars” of London, but it is quite handy to have a little guide to quickly reference restaurants.

I began by going through and marking all the restaurants that I have eaten at in London.  This merely highlighted the fact that there are many starred restaurants that I haven’t eaten at.  Which then led me to my mission…

To eat at all the Michelin stars in London by the end of the year.

I might be fat and broke by 2009, but damn it, it should be fun.

What is missing off my list

Capital Restaurant
L’ Escargot
Foliage
Le Gavroche
The Glasshouse
Gordan Ramsey at Claridges
Gordon Ramsey
Locanda Locatelli
1 Lombard Street
Maze
Mirabelle
Nahm
Petrus
Quilon
Rasoi
Rhodes Twenty Four
Rhodes W1
Richard Corrigan at Lindsay House
Roussillon
The Square
Tom Aikens
La Trompette
Umu
Zafferano

24 restaurants - not sure if that is doable now looking at it…but I can try.

If anyone feels the need to take me out for a treat, please book any of the above.

Horaayy..there are 2 comment(s) for me so far ;)

You should hurry with the Gordon Ramsay joints. His deals with the Claridges and with the Berlkey (Petrus is his restaurant too) expire pretty soon. But there’s a very nice new Restaurant in the Connaught Hotel now to substitude the loss…

Hey.

So when I’m in London again (short cross the water from ireland du norf) I’ll book one of the 24!

Hopefully not one you have already been too… and hopefully not the last one you’ll go to, otherwise you may be too fat to fit! haha
