I figured out a way cheaper way for my parents to phone me here in Spain. Well, there are several ways, but the easiest is if they phone me on a landline or my mobile.

1. Set up Skype - be sure that you use the Beta version with Call forwarding
2. Buy SkypeOut minutes
3. Buy a local SkypeIn number (remember - needs to be local to the person that is phoning you)
4. Set up the Call Forwarding to go to your mobile or landline - To do this go to Tools > Options > Call Forwarding and Voicemail

5. Give the number to your folks
6. Talk for only .017 cents per minute is billed through your SkypeOut credits when you are way from the computer. And your parents get a free call - which is always nice of you considering they gave birth to you and supported you for how many years…
