To me it seems really barbaric showing off a corpse for three days. How about a corpse T-shirt?

I think it’s really disrespectful from you to talk like that about a man that means so much for the Catholic church.

I’m not a defender of sectarianism or fanatism and I deeply respect all religions, but I expect the same in return.

Unfortunately, too many people confuse being liberal and having freedom of expression with having the right to disrespect others. You are free to think whatever you want, but you don’t need to offend other peoples’ beliefs while doing so.

Please be more polite and sensitive with your comments about religion and any other issues related to personal beliefs.

This is the problem with people. Everyone is running around trying to be so PC all the time. The Pope had a good run of it. People die. Get over it. It is nothing to be sad about -it is called LIFE.

And btw, the Catholic church is hardly respectful of other people’s beliefs…and condoms don’t prevent AIDS, women shouldn’t have the right to choose and homosexuals are not “natural” (but allowing your priests to molest little boys and covering it up all the time is). How is that for being polite and sensitive?

Dear Nerd Girl,

You do not try to be politically correct, but you definitely go ahead and make judgements about things you know very little about.

For your general information, the Catholic church does respect people’s beliefs. In fact, it is probably the only Christian denomination that admits that people that belong to other monotheistic religions will go to heaven. Unlike most Protestant denominations, which believe that anyone that does not believe in Jesus is condemned to hell.

The issues you mentioned about abortion, pregnancy and homosexuality are just the positions of the church. No one is obliging you or anyone to adopt those positions. It’s a personal choice and only God has the authority to judge.

If Catholics ever participate in social policy it is because they have the right to defend their points of view and live according to them, just like you do. If we are disrespecting your beliefs because we are against abortion, then you are disrespecting our beliefs because you are pro abortion.

I do not intend to impose my beliefs on anyone, and I don’t go around disrespecting the beliefs of others in public like you do.

Please show some respect when you refer to the beliefs of people that have a perspective that differs from yours. It is not about being politically correct. It is about having some manners and a minimum of decency.

Sincerely,

MB

I have the right to make my own judgements just as you have the right not to read them.

BTW - I actually didn’t say anything disrespectful about the Pope. In fact, you will note that RIP means REST IN PEACE.

Hi Nerd G,

Your comment on “wishing the old man a good trip to the far heavens” would sound like mockery to anyone. Not to mention the fact that you’re profiting from selling t-shirts with Catholic motives. Apparently, when it comes to filling your pockets, your beliefs on abortion or homsexuality become second priority.

Yes, you have the right to post whatever you want, but your rights end where the rights of others begin–so I’d suggest you show some respect in your future comments.

Thank you,

MB.

Hello Nerd Girl,

This is your old friend Michela .

I totally understand how you’d be annoyed by my comments given that 1)You don’t have any arguments left to match mine; 2) All you have left to do is to show your lack of education and your vulgarity by cursing; 3)You obviously don’t have any respect for other people’s beliefs or for the freedom of expression that you like to boast so much about.

Don’t worry. I’m not interested in reading any of the crap that you write on your cheap website, or on losing any more of my time replying to your vein comments and teaching you the manners and the education that you obviously don’t have. I read enough to know the kind of person that you are.

Enjoy your small Nerdy world,

MB
