Actually, I lie when I say that I am back from Miami because I am actually sitting in the VIP lounge at the Miami International Airport where I am waiting for another 1 1/2 hours for my flight to depart. In addition, I am trying to type with the vision of only one eye since last night in the midst of my exhaustion I dropped one contact lens on the floor of the bathroom while managing to rip the other one in half. Then I only had one spare one. Ole.

arriving with too much shit
The week has gone by quickly enough. The weather here has been typical Miami humidity. The beach was beautiful. I got a bit of a burn yesterday while lying on the beach at the Delano drinking Coronas with Marco. But only in strange selective locations on my neck.
I also managed to visit the doctor while I was here since my hands - which I used to think was tendonitis - has turned into a massive problem for me that continues to worsen as the days go by. Turns out that they are pretty convinced that I have a “serious collagen related disease” that requires immediate diagnosis upon my arrival back to Spain. I find that quite worrying.
Managed to see all the regulars while we were here plus a few folks new to the scene of WMC, but old to our travels or stories. Like Albi/Julien, Fredrik, Ariel and Tina in from NYC, Marco, Reto and Rudy for about 3 1/2 seconds at the Versace party, DJ Gregory, Migs, Biatcho, Carlos and more.

the girlzzz
This week also welcomed the addition of two new friends - Alison and Gbemi (pronounced BEMY) who shared our ghetto fabulous Michigan avenue apartment. Who knew that when we arrived to the airport that we would have such great flatmates for the week? The UK version (but younger and more beautiful) than Ornella and Stephanie (AKA Edie and Patsy). They were fab-o from the moment that we all met - outside the National car rental agency with 14 suitcases - to the moment we departed (well, Ornella found them in the depatures area - probably buying magazines and/or liquor).
