That is right folks! It is Turkey Day again…Gobble gobble. Another day for the white man to celebrate killing off those pesky satanic Injuns! Yeeehawww! OK, I am obviously not such a big fan of Thanksgiving. I do have to admit that I love the mashed potatoes and the candied yams. MMMMMnnnn. I am getting hungry just thinking of it. But I have never been a big fan of turkey. Maybe it comes from growing up down the street from the Dever’s turkey ranch. That place smelled to all hell with those shitty animals. And people think that swine are dirty….

I will miss certain aspects of the holiday gatherings at the old Robesky household. Seems that as the family gets smaller and smaller we don’t experience the excitement of the old days…

Such as:

Grandma Ginger wanting to go home as soon as she finishes the first course.
Uncle David getting drunk and making racist comments.
Bob putting on A Christmas Story and having is repeat about 4,000 times.
Grandma Ginger calling the day after Turkey Day to inform us that it is “the biggest shopping day of the year”.
Mom burning the rolls.
The sacrificial peas and carrot plate.
Graham and Valarie’s annual Thanksgiving day fight.
