On my way home now from Erotica 2002 in London. Private had the biggest stand there with all the porn star girls. Ugh. I had to host the live chat sessions that we were having. I have to confess that I really hate doing this part of the job and I am going to flat out refuse to do any convention chats ever again. It is a pain in the ass to try to get these girls to talk to anyone and then the music is always too loud. The only fun part was when I was asking all the folks questions and drinking beers.

Had a good time, although I have been feeling a little bit run down since my 2 days of sickness last week. I fear that everyone in the office has been passing this flu around again and again. Gross germ warfare! It was nice to hang out with Arlie and sleep on my couch at her house. Went out to a nice dinner at Smith of Smithfields on Thursday night. I had some pork fat with mashed potatoes that was pretty yummy. The place was cool, but a bit too loud. Then drank many cosmos with Arlie and made friends with some cute make-up artist fags. Arlie and I spend a bit of time coming up with the best screenplay of the decade – which I can’t remember now – and then ended up calling her brother in LA who told us we were dumb and drunk.

Friday night went to Spearmint Rhino, the gentlemen’s club, for dinner. It is like the Playboy grotto in that place except minus the bunnies. More like the evil rabbits of Watership Down in that dark den of money lust. Ate some nasty, bloody steak and laughed at all of the lap-dancing fiends who were in complete denial that they are talking to a high-priced hooker that won’t even give them a blow-job. Safe sex has taken on a whole new meaning.

The rest of the weekend spent at the convention. Traumatised Arlie and Dylan on Saturday by dragging them down there. Sorry guys – just wanted you to see how the other half lives their lives.

I’m back in Barcelona now. Went to the hospital yesterday and got an IV to bring me back to life. I think the exhaustion isn’t doing me much good. Sleep would probably be a good thing and a nice detox weekend at a health spa!
