can’t believe it has been a year. in many ways. it seems like since september 11th so much has happened. but then again, it seems like just a few days ago. is this the syndrome that everyone always talks about as they get older - the time flying bit?

being in spain, i have missed out on all of the tributes. i did find myself reading the new york times today and remembering last year. it was a really hard time for all of us ex-pats to be away from home and away from our families.

it was a tragedy of great proportions. and it does make me miss my family and friends back home. but in a way, it also makes me fear the states. i hope that everyone takes this an opportunity to pay more attention and get more involved in governmental issues and foreign policies. find out why others in the world are against our American way of life. educate yourselves and find your own truths.
