i keep getting pop=up windows telling me that american flags are still available. what happened to the x10 cam? i have a feeling that things are a bit overly patriotic in the states right now. i envision lots of american flag bumper stickers on mercedes suv’s. i admit that i did write the whole ‘proud to be an american’ thing. however, i did not say that in any way to mean ‘proud to be a redneck asshole’. does being proud to be an american mean that i have to act like a hillbilly with a confederate flag?

an important point to make here and something that i’ve thought a lot about is the stigma that this has brought to arab-americans. being half-japanese and having an entire family that was locked up in internment camps during ww2, it really saddens me that some radical assholes can somehow shift the thoughts of an entire country against a particular race. i keep reading these stories about the guy that was shot in texas because he looked like bin laden, the guy that looks like one of the hijackers has lost his job, the airline pilots that are refusing to fly with anyone who looks middle eastern…

people - wise up! when you start acting like assholes and targeting muslim people because you are ill-informed by all of the american media propaganda - you are actually doing exactly what bin laden and his men want - starting a jihad. we all know that this isn’t about race, it isn’t about religion. it is what all wars are about - money and power. don’t believe the hype and fall victim to your own racism and fanaticism and become terrorists in your own right.

besides, i really miss that damned x10 cam - i was thinking about buying a few of them…
